Our multi-component expertise is invaluable during litigation and mediation of environmental insurance, settlement negotiations, and formal legal mediations. We have the knowledge and creativity to resolve complex contaminant fate and transport issues, answer timing or release questions and envision strategic remediation solutions best suited for the situation at hand. We have provided litigation support on over 100 topics ranging from expert witness testimony on geology, geochemistry, risk assessments, and environmental engineering to vapor intrusion, environmental impact studies, and Clean Water Act violations.

We have provided litigation support work, collecting samples, gathering data on responsible parties and developing damage assessments and cleanup cost estimates on numerous litigations, including one of the largest toxic tort cases in the United States involving lead contamination from municipal incinerators. Our extensive experience and technical expertise has assisted attorneys develop their legal strategies, knowing the technical data they are relying on is accurate and will withstand rigorous scrutiny and cross-examination.

We perform due diligence to identify potential environmental liabilities, collect environmental samples, evaluate methods to mitigate or eliminate the risk posed by environmental contamination, provide independent third-party reviews of environmental services provided by other consultants and conduct insurance archeology to locate historical assets to fund environmental services and legal fees and create a larger reservoir of monies for equitable allocation.

We also have a proprietary method of quantifying the total environmental and financial risk to help understand the entire lifecycle costs of environmental claims.
