CALVIN KELLY, DIRECTOR OF CLIENT CLAIMS
QUESTION: WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
ANSWER: I have lived most of my adult life in Indiana. I was born in Mississippi, and moved to Clearwater, Florida when I was 13. I have also lived briefly in the US territory of Guam and Nashville, Tennessee.
Q: WHAT DOES YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE INCLUDE?
A: My entire career has had a strong environmental focus. That includes stops at both private sector consulting firms and in public service (Indiana state government). For a period of time I co-owned a small engineering firm and have worked as an independent consultant as well. Last but not least, I worked as a program management consultant for the territorial government of Guam, where we completed several capital investment construction projects benefitting the island’s tourism industry; this included building a new cultural museum, the historic preservation of a Spanish-colonial Governor’s residence and armory, and many other improvements throughout island villages.
Q: WHY DID YOU WANT TO WORK AT ENVIROFORENSICS?
A: For starters, I had prior working history with several EnviroForensics team members. Respect for the character and intellect of your peers is always a great motivator. Moreover, EnviroForensics was (and is) highly unique in its approach to resolving environmental liability for clients and that is very appealing to me.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND IN CLAIMS MANAGEMENT?
A: My informal claims management background comes from many years of helping clients address legal and regulatory environmental dilemmas. My formal background in managing claims (insurance) such as those we typically encounter, is a much newer and deeper skillset developed over the past six years.
Q: WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR YOUR NEW ROLE AT ENVIROFORENSICS?
A: Challenges. Learning new strategies to help new clients in new markets.
