The 2016 Indianapolis Parks Foundation’s Mayor’s Lunch for Parks is just around the corner. The annual fundraising event for the Parks Foundation will be held this year in a reconstructed park setting and will feature an hour-long networking session, as well as keynote speaker Mayor Joe Hogsett. Other speakers include Indianapolis Parks Foundation President Lori A. Hazlett and Parks Foundation Board leaders.
The Indianapolis Parks Foundation was created in 1991 to improve Indianapolis’s recreational, educational and cultural life by supporting the city’s parks system. The Parks Foundation accomplishes this mission by helping gain private funding to support the parks system and working to build a remarkable parks system by providing funding for land acquisition, park programs, capital improvements and maintenance. Additionally, the Parks Foundation’s staff, board and volunteers advocate for quality parks and green space in Marion County.
The Indianapolis Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization. As such, it needs support and assistance from individuals, corporations and foundations to create and maintain a world-class parks system. EnviroForensics is a sponsor of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation, and our President and CEO, Steve Henshaw, is on the board for the foundation. As a board member, Henshaw generously donates his time and resources to support the Parks Foundation.
The 2016 Mayor’s Lunch will be held Thursday, March 3rd. Networking will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and the program from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
